The EU Council will redistribute funds to support education and science in Ukraine

The meeting of the Council of the European Union's Ministers of Education was held March 16, 2022 to support Ukraine in the fields of education and science.

The Minister of National Education, Youth and Sports of the French Republic Jean-Michel Blanquer, who chairs the Council of Ministers, posted today on Twitter about the decision reached as a result of the meeting.

Thus, the EU Council of Ministers adopted a decision on the redistribution of EU funds for education:

  • to support Ukrainian children in schools;
  • to facilitate the admission to study for pupils and students;
  • to provide access to shared online resources for teachers;
  • to enable permanent access to the Ukrainian education system and the study of Ukrainian language , through the All-Ukrainian online school in particular;
  • to restore the Ukrainian education system.

As previously reported, Serhiy Shkarlet has appealed to the Council of the European Union's Ministers of Education to support and develop the All-Ukrainian School Online, as well as to provide special grants to fill it with new materials on various  subjects, including psychological support for children in wartime.
