Agricultural Vocational Schools Receive Modern Equipment with JICA Support

Twelve vocational schools will receive modern agricultural machinery thanks to the support of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
For student training, the following equipment has been provided: tractors, plows, disc harrows, cultivators, and seeders.
6 Institutions that have already received the new equipment:
- Fedorivskyi Center for Vocational Education (Zaporizhzhia region)
- Nadbuzkyi Vocational Agricultural Lyceum (Mykolaiv region)
- Nizhyn Vocational Agricultural Lyceum (Chernihiv region)
- Isaivskyi Vocational Agricultural Lyceum (Odesa region)
- Apostolivskyi Center for Training and Retraining of Workers (Dnipropetrovsk region)
- Lozivskyi Center for Vocational Education (Kharkiv region)
How will this change the learning approach?
Students will gain hands-on experience with equipment used in large agricultural companies. They will learn to operate GPS navigation, automatic control, and precision farming technologies that reduce fuel costs, increase yields, and optimize resource use. Exposures to the latest technologies offer students of the institutions the chance to access a broader range of the labor market.
What does it mean for businesses?
Agricultural companies and farms will gain a new generation of specialists who won’t require extensive on-the-job training. They will be ready to work with modern equipment immediately, reducing business costs and increasing productivity.
Businesses will receive well-prepared professionals who understand how to optimize workflows, minimize losses, and enhance enterprise efficiency.
Demand for skilled agricultural specialists is growing
Agriculture in Ukraine is becoming increasingly technology-driven, requiring specialists who can operate innovative machinery and automated systems. Therefore, upgrading the technical and material base of vocational schools is a key step in preparing personnel for modern agribusiness.
