500 laptops delivered to Ukrainian schools through the Device Coalition
The global children’s charity Theirworld and the Olena Zelenska Foundation, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, have delivered 500 laptops to general secondary education institutions across the country.
25 schools across different regions of Ukraine received the laptops. The equipment was provided to institutions that annually host a large number of National Multi-Subject Test (NMT) participants, in order to strengthen their digital infrastructure.
Yevhen Kudriavets, First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, said:
“Even in the face of war, we must protect every child’s right to education. Access to technology is vital to ensuring students can continue their studies, take their exams and secure their future. These laptops represent the strength and determination of the Ukrainian people. For the children who are the cornerstone of the country’s future, they are a promise of a better tomorrow.”
Sarah Brown, Chair of Theirworld, said:
“Theirworld’s laptop initiative is not just about providing technology – it’s about equipping Ukraine’s next generation with the skills they need to rebuild their country.”
Nina Horbachova, Director of the Olena Zelenska Foundation, said:
“Ensuring Ukrainian children's access to education during the war is one of the key objectives of the Olena Zelenska Foundation. We are grateful to our partners for their significant contribution to safeguarding the future of Ukrainian children through education.”
This is not the first wave of support from Theirworld. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the organization—together with the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Digital Transformation, and the Olena Zelenska Foundation—has already provided more than 70,000 devices to children and teachers who have been displaced or continue their education under constant shelling.
