The Ministry of Education and Science and PrivatBank have started joint development of a digital platform for distance learning.

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and PrivatBank are collaborating to develop a unified digital platform for distance learning. Its goal is to provide access to Ukrainian education for children who are abroad or studying remotely within Ukraine, as well as to create a modern, convenient, and secure environment for interaction between students, teachers, and parents.
Accessible, high-quality, and uninterrupted education is the objective of the School Offline policy, which includes the platform. The digital platform will comply with national educational standards and will include:
- Implementation of a unified standard for quality distance learning.
- Individual educational trajectories.
- Maintaining constant communication between students and teachers.
- Convenient tools for all participants in the educational process — all within a single digital space.
- Protection of personal data, cybersecurity, and digital identification.
"Thousands of Ukrainian children today are unable to attend Ukrainian schools in person due to the war. Our mission is to ensure they receive quality, accessible, and continuous education. By creating a unified digital platform, we are responding to this challenge and taking another step forward in distance learning development. I sincerely thank our partners for their support in implementing this important project," said Oksen Lisovyi, Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine.
The joint work of the Ministry of Education and Science and PrivatBank involves not only developing the platform itself but also filling it with educational content, building a secure digital infrastructure, providing technical and organizational support to educational institutions, and enhancing the digital skills of educators.
The first step was the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation, which took place on April 9, 2025, in Kyiv, with the participation of Minister of Education and Science Oksen Lisovyi, Chairman of the Board of JSC CB "PrivatBank" Mikael Björknert, and Deputy Minister Nadiia Kuzmychova.
"As a state-owned bank, PrivatBank is proud to be a reliable partner for the Government - not only as a solid and reliable financial pillar, but now also in the humanitarian area of education as well. This is another proof of PrivatBank’s unwavering commitment to the state and Ukrainians at large, wherever they are under the circumstances. We are convinced that investing in education is one of the most important paths to a better future and are delighted to become a partner for the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. I am confident that by joining our efforts we will achieve much more in preparing the youth for modern challenges," commented the Chairperson of the Board of PrivatBank, Mikael Bjorknert.
Background:
Due to the full-scale war, millions of Ukrainian children are studying either outside the country or remotely within Ukraine. This situation creates a risk of losing their connection to the Ukrainian language, culture, and identity, while also deepening the educational losses resulting from the low quality of distance learning. In response to these challenges, the government is creating a digital platform. This initiative aims to help children remain engaged in the Ukrainian educational, cultural, and informational space, supporting not only their knowledge but also personal interactions between students and teachers.
