The first Summer Forum of Young Scientists Ukraine

The first Summer Young Scientists Forum was recently held in Odessa, which was attended by some 100 young scientists, all leaders of the scientific community from most of the regions of Ukraine.
The forum agenda covered a range of issues. In particular, discussions were held on questions of academic mobility, complexity of designing internship abroad, new requirements for obtaining academic degrees and titles, and others.
Liliya Hrynevych, Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, sent the Forum participants a welcoming letter, saying that Ukraine's development as a successful innovative European country today depends on the progress of science, the work of scientists and consolidating the activity taking in education and science with sectors of the actual economy. Extremely important tasks today are to develop cross-sector collaboration and academic partnerships, the exchange of experience, and joint dialogue between all stakeholders, in the context of the challenges facing emerging young scientists, meaning that this Forum was an especially significant event in Ukraine.
Serhiy Stepanenko, Chairman of the Council of Rectors of the Odessa region, opening the Forum, advised the participants to be active, communicative and to fulfil their rights, uniting in a community that can significantly enhance the capabilities of young scientists to influence government processes in science.
