Ukrainian VET Institutions to Receive Agricultural Equipment from Japan

Ukrainian vocational education continues to receive support from international partners. Through collaboration between the Government of Ukraine and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), vocational schools will receive modern agricultural machinery and training equipment.
What’s Included?
Equipment procurement is underway for 12 training and practical centers across 8 regions: Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Sumy, Chernihiv, and Kharkiv. The list includes tractors, plows, disc harrows, cultivators, and seed drills. Additionally, the centers will be equipped with computers.

The support is aimed at institutions that:
- have suffered damage or destruction due to Russian aggression;
- require modern equipment to provide high-quality training for students in the agricultural sector.

Background
The Emergency Recovery Program, under which this project is being implemented, aims to rapidly restore infrastructure and support key sectors of education affected by the war. This component is expected to be completed by March 2025.
