European Research Area (ERA-UA)

Currently, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine is developing the Roadmap for Ukraine’s Integration into the European Research Area (ERA-UA) that is planned to be approved by the end of 2017. The approval of the Roadmap will ensure the compliance with Article 375 of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union, which fact will facilitate the formation of a positive image of Ukraine in European sciences society and enhance the scientific potential of the country to deal with national and global challenges.

Integration of Ukrainian scholars into the European Research Area will help in creating a critical mass of researchers in many fields of science and technologies and facilitate the efficient transfer of knowledge between government agencies and private sector entities (subject to the protection of intellectual property rights).
