Digital devices for teachers: 50 thousand ukrainian educators received chromebooks

Under the cooperation between MOES, MinDigit, Google and UNESCO, the last batch of Chromebooks was successfully delivered in Ukraine, thus completing the mission to equip 50 000 Ukrainian teachers with the devices. Approximately 4 000 electronic devices were handed over to educators in Rivne, Kharkiv and Poltava regions. This was announced by the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhii Shkarlet.

Below is the overall distribution of Chromebooks among regions:

  • Vinnytsia – 2,428;
  • Volyn – 1,283;
  • Dnipro – 3,647;
  • Donetsk - 1,102;
  • Zhytomyr – 2,918;
  • Zakarpattia – 1,124;
  • Zaporizhzhia – 2,669;
  • Ivano-Frankivsk - 2,147;
  • Kyiv – 4,149;
  • Kirovohrad – 971;
  • Luhansk - 337;
  • Lviv - 2,412;
  • Mykolayiv – 1,702;
  • Odesa – 2,061;
  • Poltava - 1,114;
  • Rivne - 2,070;
  • Sumy - 1,774;
  • Ternopil - 1,536;
  • Kharkiv - 5,895;
  • Kherson – 761;
  • Khmelnytskyi – 1,747;
  • Cherkasy – 1,442;
  • Chernivtsi - 496;
  • Chernihiv – 2,273;
  • the city of Kyiv - 1942.

In total, since February 2022, 77 704 devices were delivered to regions of Ukraine as part of MOES cooperation with partners and donors.

As a reminder, thanks to the support of Olena Zelenska Foundation, Global Business Coalition for Education’s initiative and joint project of HP and Microsoft ‘Digital Asset for Ukraine’, another batch of laptops arrived in various regions of Ukraine.
