ERASMUS+

Ukraine is a partner country of the EU-funded Erasmus+ Programme supporting projects, partnerships, events and mobility in the area of education, training, youth policy and sport.

All Programme Fields have different opportunities open to Partner Countries. 

Ukraine is a Partner Country Not Associated to the Programme for the calls period 2021-2027.

Moreover, there are 30 calls for proposals open for 2024 for Ukrainian organisations as partners. Including for 11 calls as applicant and partners.

Ukrainian organisations working in education, youth and sport are eligible to participate in the International and European Dimensions of the Erasmus+ Program, as specified in the Programme Guide.

Details

The following actions are open in particular:

• educational mobility of staff and students exchange in higher education (projects of international credit mobility) on the basis of inter-institutional agreements;
• mobility of staff, students and experts in Vocational Education and Training (VET);
• learning mobility in the field of youth: youth exchanges, youth workers mobility and youth participation projects;
• join virtual exchanges in higher education and youth;
• design and implement joint master's programs and receiving individual scholarships for students and staff (Erasmus Mundus Actions);
• initiate projects for reforming higher education under Capacity Building (ex-Tempus) actions;
• join the partnerships for Capacity building in VET;
• initiate Capacity building in Youth projects;
• initiate Capacity building for Sport projects;
• become partners in the Centers of Vocational Excellence;
• join Cooperation Partnership projects (KA220) in School, VET, Higher and Adult Education and Youth, as well as cross sectoral in Education and Youth calls and for Sport;
• alliances for innovations in cooperation between HEIs and VET Institutions;
• European universities Initiative as associated partners;
• Jean Monnet Actions for European Studie: Module, Chairs and Centers of Excellence.

Ukrainian institutions may be partners in all of the above fields, whereas in Jean Monnet Actions, Erasmus Mundus Actions, Capacity Building in Higher Education, Youth and Sport, both as applicants-coordinators and partners.

Annually, from November to February/March, Erasmus+ calls for proposals are held. Please find more information on all opportunities at the Programme Platform.

There are open resources and professional networks open for Ukraine under Erasmus+.

For School and VET: European School Education Platform; eTwinning; for Adult Education – Electronic Platform for Adult Learning in Europe (EPALE) and a Lifelong Learning Platform.

The National Erasmus+ office was established in Ukraine to increase the awareness, visibility, relevance, effectiveness and impact of the international components of the Erasmus + Program.

The National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine is a partner of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and carries out the following activities:

• Identify the national priorities for Structural and national projects under CBHE actions;
• Participate as partner/ associated partner in the projects for staff professional development and to ensure the systemic and sectoral impact, synergy with other projects and programmes;
• Information and promotional activities of the Programme and projects;
• Assistance to potential applicants and project beneficiaries;
• Selection, monitoring and dissemination of information on Erasmus+ projects;
• Analysing best practices, necessary legislation changes, processes, mechanisms and structures to be established for the negotiation of the new status of Ukraine in Erasmus+ Programme.
